Two months after David Fleming’s 21-song score arrived on streaming, Marvel’s Wolverine is getting the physical treatment: an Amazon-exclusive 1LP on translucent yellow vinyl carrying nine cues from the game’s gritty, brutal soundscape, out now with more variants teased. Fleming, a two-time Emmy winner whose credits include The Last of Us and Dune, spent two years building the sonic world of Logan, and Insomniac is leaning in: the composer hosts a live listening party with creative director Marcus Smith on 23 September. The timing says as much as the record itself. Wolverine opened to middling reviews yet reportedly sold 1.9 million copies in three days, the third-biggest PS5 physical launch in the UK this year, and its score is now being merchandised like a film soundtrack: collectible, variant-driven and platform-exclusive. As games become evergreen catalog properties, expect the vinyl window to open closer and closer to launch day.
